Soup from grandma's kitchen. great Beer garden and service can only be recommended. ??

We waited over an hour for our uncomplicated schnitzel with french fries and in the end, by the way, you couldn't pay with a card. Really disabled.

This inn with the best landlady far and wide and the best cook on the flat land (granny) is really idyllic in the middle of fields, forest and tranquility, here you can endure for hours with cold beer, large schnitzels, hot steaks and stop the best landlady in all of OWL.

As every time, the food was really very good and plentiful. Come again!

Very nice beer garden. We were registered there with the cycling group and were given a very friendly welcome. The boss baked us a delicious cake especially for the coffee break! I would come back anytime.

We were there today with 6 people. We were all very, very surprised at how delicious the various dishes were. Price-performance ratio top. The boss also gets kudos for service and friendliness. (and praise for Grandma in the kitchen) We will be back.

Old pub, lovingly trimmed with joke on modern. Not short-lived frills, but to feel good. And ... good food at great prices. Important also: friendly, service-oriented staff

Super friendly service .... we were only passing through the bike and had a drink. The prices were great, the service very attentive, we would stay there again anytime.

Was on 06.02.2018 for the first time in Hahnenkrug guest and am thrilled! Although I arrived a bit early (17:30 clock), but my belly wanted to be filled partout. There was nothing to discuss - so nothing like in the living room! ;-) The atmosphere is as expected for a country inn groomed down to earth, so I felt right at home. Except for a regular guest at the bar I was the only guest, which was probably due to the early hour. The service (owner) was VERY NICE and courteous and brought me immediately my ordered drink and the menu at the table. The selection was excellent from A like "Argentine Rump Steak" to Z like "Onion Schnitzel". Also for poultry and pasta fan's should be the right one. However, I had to give myself to my low desires and opted for a standard place setting (Schizzle chips red / white). Special requests such as extra fries instead of salad were not a problem and were MORE than fulfilled. :-) There was nothing to complain about the taste, although the Schnitzel (as it is the custom in this country) was not knocked. This gives a Schnitzel fan like me a half point deduction in the B-grade. ;-) Last but not least, I was invited by the previously mentioned owner for a cup of coffee. People - now I was in love! ;-) All in all, no 5 star kitchen, but down to earth treats at reasonable prices. I have been a guest by now. Long story short, if you're hungry, go. ;-) Good hunger!

Very nice pub. Good, friendly staff. A lot of effort is put into it. The service good, the food delicious. Prices are very good. The location is easily accessible.
